A collection of flash fiction, which are stories shorter (and sometimes much shorter) than a page, this book contains work that is alternately surreal, piercing, dreamlike, and erotic. With adult versions of children’s tales, vignettes that play with history, science fiction, and much more, all of the stories are infused with humor, wordplay, and surprises.

Ana María Shua (1951-) has published over a hundred books in numerous genres: novels, short stories, poetry, drama, children’s fiction, books of humor and Jewish folklore, anthologies, film scripts, journalistic articles, and essays.
