Beautiful chaos of me

Beautiful chaos of me

Cristina King Miranda

beautiful chaos of me, drinking mezcal on an empty heart
waking up to my Lola-doggie dry humping
ripping myself to pieces in the visible darkness,
never-ending Chavela Vargas nights
dancing with myself in my own warp speed Mexican telenovela world
hitting the fundillo of cannabis oil-bathed nights

beautiful chaos
misunderstood not underloved
duchess of her asphalt volcano jungle
beautiful chaos
lounging in her lemon world
lemony scents tinged with ginger, oak, cinnamon, and salt
chaotically beautiful
try to wrap your lips around her
she will pierce through your soul
nobody’s princess, capitana of her stormy seas, Besmara at the helm

living the present moment in the past
holding steady to something that didn’t last
because the past is past
and now, it’s beautiful chaos
deep in her lemon-tinted days and nights
wrapped in her own cosmic freedom flags

truth doesn’t come to the faithful, nor to the righteous
abracadabra, 123, Lucifer in the night
sometimes love is not enough for Undine’s magical water powers
to wash me free of ocean eyes and pirate smiles
